50th Anniversary BBQ and Fun Event

On Sunday 13th July 2025 we held a BBQ and Fun Event for members and their families.  This was to celebrate 50 years as a Club.

The weather was glorious and we had an amazing turnout.

Everyone enjoyed a BBQ cooked by Simon and Sarah (great effort in the heat).  We had Kevin teaching people how to play Petanque and there were many games set out on the field for the children and adults to enjoy.

I think this face sums up the day!

Christmas Pudding Shoot 2024

Sunday 15th December saw our Annual Christmas Pudding Shoot here at Buscot.

Always a fun event we shoot at colourful wrapping paper for prizes of, yes you’ve guessed it, Christmas Puddings.  For the juniors, however, we do make an exception and they get chocolate!

The winners for this year are:-

Men:
1st: Andrew McKenzie
2nd: Derek Hill
3rd: Steve Fidler

Ladies:
1st: Jane Brownlow
2nd: Alison Buck

Juniors:
1st: Edward Hill
2nd: Felix McKenzie
3rd: Toby Hill

The grand finale for the morning is always a ‘Turkey Shoot’ to win a £25 gift voucher (although the Turkey has seen better days so the Beaver got nominated to take its place).  Congratulations go to Derek Hill for being closest to the black spot.

Well done to everyone who took part.

AGINCOURT CLOUT SHOOT

What a great start to the Clout season at Buscot Park Archers.  A very healthy number of 17 archers turned up to try their hand at hitting the knight and although not all were successful a good time was had by all.

The winners were Simon P. for the men with a score of 44 and Hilary for the women with a score of 17.

Bluebell Shoot

On Sunday 1st May we had the Bluebell Shoot in the woods.  It was a little wet but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the members who turned up to ‘have-a-go’.  Thanks go to those who organised the event.  I think that there are definitely some converted archers!
