INDOOR FUN SHOOT 2024

Considering it was the Easter Weekend we had a good turnout for the last Indoor Shoot before moving outside for the summer.

We all had a fun time trying to hit the Easter themed targets, with particular interest going to the mole who was worth 6 points.

The Winners were Steve Fidler for the Men and Jane Brownlow for the Ladies.  Well done to everyone who took part and for making it such a fun event.

TARGET CHAMPIONSHIPS – 25TH SEPTEMBER 2022

Just a week on from the Field Champs we were gathered for the Target Championships.  We were thankful to have a sunny morning, although a bit chilly initially.

A good turnout of 18  with some of our new Junior members once again taking part in the Fun Round of Snakes and Ladders.

Running several different rounds to accommodate the varying abilities of the members we once again had an enjoyable day of competitive shooting.

Thank you to all who helped and obviously the members for taking part.  Here are a few photos to remember the day.

FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS – 18TH SEPTEMBER 2022

A good turnout of 16 for the Field Championships and it was really nice to have a couple of our new junior members joining us.

Derek and Rod had, as usual, prepared the course well.  After being divided into groups we set off.  Some of the targets were deceptively difficult and that bird that just seemed an arms length away, was ridiculously difficult to hit and as for the trees!

It was ultimately a good mornings shoot that was enjoyed by all.

Congratulations to everybody who took part.

EASTER EGG FUN SHOOT AND ‘HAVE-A-GO’ – GOOD FRIDAY 15TH APRIL 2022

What an absolutely glorious morning.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue and there was a great turnout.   Unfortunately covid had struck a couple of our coaches, but thanks to Sarah, Simon and Siobhan the ‘Have-a-Go’ event was able to go ahead with a variety of age groups attending.  (We of course wish the covid sufferers hasty recoveries and we look forward to seeing you back amongst us very soon).

Derek and Rodney put together the Easter themed targets and the field was thoughtfully set out for both events to run alongside one another.  Our Chairman, Alistair, supplied the Easter Eggs and so the scene was set.

Having to shoot barebow was a struggle for quite a few of us, but it was all good fun.

Here are some pictures of the morning:-

Thanks to everybody who helped make this event the success is was!

INDOOR SEASON COMES TO AN END WITH A FUN SHOOT

The Indoor Season finished with a fun shoot that was held at Faringdon Leisure Centre on Friday 25th March 2022.

Alison put together a new game with targets that she created finishing with a gamble end of arrows that basically meant anybody could win!

Simon Paterson, who took the risk and gambled big, was the winner for the men.  Well done Simon.

Alison Buck, was the winner for the women and Emily Paterson was the Junior winner.

Thank you everybody who took part.  It certainly was a fun shoot and here are some pictures from the evening.
